Holy Smokes! Children's Mercy Hospital does not mess around!!!! This is the update I received from Abbey:
"These updates come fast! Stacey (nurse) came out and said that she is doing great on the bypass. The doctor has closed the atrial septal defect and is now on the ventricular septal defect. Then they will do an echocardiogram by way of her throat. This will give them an even better view of the heart. After that, they will begin taking her off of the bypass."
